What Others Have to Say

Those we have had the privilege to serve, often leave us with kind parting words, the following are just a few of them:

“I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent care I have received during my two week stay here at Durgin Pines.  It has been most impressive to see the staff so up-beat and always willing to meet my needs.  I have had the pleasure of getting to know some of the staff on a personal level and hope that our paths cross again. Again, thank you for such a caring environment.  Also, I so appreciated a quiet atmosphere every evening so that I could sleep through the night!”

“We would like to thank our extended family at Durgin Pines.  Mom’s final journey was filled with laughter, loving care, compassion and kindness during these last six months.  She called them all her grandchildren.  They made her smile even in the last days of her journey.  May God bless them all for taking care of her.”

“I can’t let another day go by without expressing our appreciation and gratitude for Durgin Pines.  We are so very grateful our parents have settled in beautifully.  Their level of care is outstanding.  We are so appreciative of every single LPN, RN, CNA at Durgin Pines as well as the administrative staff.  All of my parents needs are met regularly on a daily basis.  They are so lovingly cared for.  It was an emotional time for us at first, but once we got to Durgin Pines, I was comforted often by the staff’s kind words and their warm interactions with my parents.  The staff is wonderful with all of the residents.  Our whole family was welcomed with open arms from day one.
All of our requests for my parents are met whenever we ask for something from the laundry, to the business office, to OT/PT, to food requests, and the list goes on.  I cannot imagine my parents anywhere else.  We love visiting them.  I am so grateful Durgin Pines is the place my parents can call home.”

“My experience at Durgin Pines was absolutely outstanding – the excellent way the various teams related to patients – nursing, therapy, food services, maintenance, administration – they make everyone feel welcome and important.  I thank you for a very personalized and helpful rehab experience.”

“The only thing I could have to say is – You’ve got a great team working – from CNA’s, Nurses, PT’s, OT’s, and those doing the cooking – great food.  Also I must say that the ladies doing the laundry are great.  I would recommend Durgin Pines in every way.  Everyone always makes you feel very important.  The food is great with great chef’s.  It is very clean and organized.  The landscaping is beautifully kept.  My meds were always given on time.  Thank you for a great stay.”

“I don’t know where to begin to thank you all for the way you took care of Mom and the support you gave me during our time at Durgin Pines.  There are too many to name individually and I don’t want to leave anyone out.
Yours is not an easy job.  It takes very special people to take care of people whether in rehab or long term care.  There are moments of laughter, success, tears, frustration and then there’s good-bye.
You awake each morning not knowing what you will face during the day.  Yet you all go in each day and try to make it a better one for those you care for.  You all play an equally important role from maintenance, laundry, cooking, cleaning, doctor, nurse practitioners, nursing, cna’s, PT, receptionists, administrative, billing.  You all work as a team.  Even Nick (administrator) delivers flowers on occasion.  Larry the head of nursing cut my mom’s food up one day.  I spent many days watching all of this come together. Every job was everyone’s job. That’s what made it such a success.
You have touched my heart very deeply.  I will never forget any of you.  Mom is watching over you all and praying for a life filled with happiness for each and every one of you.
Know what an important role all of you play in the lives of so many.  You make a difference.”
